Senior Integration Engineer (Boomi/Workato)

We are seeking a Senior Integration Engineer with deep expertise in Boomi and Workato, specializing in payroll and HR system integrations. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining complex integration solutions that connect critical enterprise systems, with a strong emphasis on payroll and human capital data flows.The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with modern integration platforms and is comfortable leveraging AI-driven automation to build scalable, high-performance solutions. This role requires close collaboration with both business stakeholders and technical teams to translate complex requirements into robust integration architectures.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain payroll-focused integrations using BoomiBuild and manage complex integration workflows (“recipes”) within WorkatoArchitect scalable, enterprise-grade integration solutions across multiple systemsDevelop and optimize AI-driven automation workflows using modern toolsImplement Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions for automated data extractionDesign and maintain error handling, monitoring, and alerting strategies for critical data flowsIntegrate enterprise applications including HRIS, ERP, and CRM systemsDevelop and optimize SQL/PL-SQL queries for data processing and transformationSupport production systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performanceImplement and manage SFTP and HTTP-based integrationsTroubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely mannerDocument integration architecture, processes, and best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver integration solutionsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field8+ years of hands-on experience with Boomi integration4+ years of experience with the Workato platformStrong experience integrating payroll, time & attendance, or HR systemsExperience integrating enterprise applications (e.g., HRIS, ERP, CRM platforms)Expertise in building complex integration workflows with branching logic and error handling3–5 years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL4+ years of experience supporting production integration environmentsExperience with SFTP and HTTP integrations4+ years of experience with scripting languages (Java, Groovy, or JavaScript)Strong understanding of API-based integrations and data exchange patternsProven track record delivering enterprise-scale integration solutionsPreferred QualificationsExperience with AI-driven automation tools and frameworksFamiliarity with advanced integration patterns and modern automation technologiesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesExperience working in cross-functional, enterprise environmentsKnowledge of integration and data management best practices
