Senior Integration Specialist / Backend Developer📍 Gothenburg | Hybrid | PermanentWe're working with a growing boutique technology consultancy in Gothenburg that's looking for a Senior Integration Specialist / Backend Developer to join its engineering team.This isn't a standard backend role.You'll be helping design and build an integration platform connecting external software with complex enterprise systems, with a particular focus on APIs, middleware and securely transferring data between highly protected environments.You'll have genuine input into how the solution is designed and built, so they're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems and bringing ideas rather than simply working through predefined tickets.💻 What you'll be doingBuilding and maintaining a middleware / integration platformDeveloping APIs and integrations across multiple systemsIntegrating third-party software into large enterprise environmentsDesigning secure methods of transferring data between protected environmentsSolving integration challenges involving authentication, firewalls and restricted systemsContributing to architecture and technical decisionsSupporting deployment and production environments🔎 What we're looking forThe biggest requirement is strong integration experience.You'll ideally bring:Strong backend development experience with Java or C#/.NETProven API development and system integration experienceExperience building middleware or integration solutionsUnderstanding of authentication, secure data transfer and enterprise securitySome exposure to DevOps, CI/CD and deploymentExperience within large enterprise environmentsPrevious experience in security-sensitive, defence, telecoms, government, critical infrastructure or highly regulated environments would be a bonus.Most importantly, you'll be someone who is confident, consultative and happy to have an opinion.
