Senior Investment Analyst - Buy Side (AIF)

Monarch AIF is hiring a Senior Investment Analyst to join the buy-side investment team, working directly with the Fund Manager on a concentrated, high-conviction equity portfolio.Before you read further, understand what this role is: your research will not sit in an inbox. It will move capital. Every stock you recommend, every thesis you build, every channel check you conduct directly impacts a ₹1,000+ Crore AIF and a ₹300+ Crore PMS. Your conviction becomes the fund's conviction.The Platform:Monarch AIF has outperformed Nifty 500 TRI by 580 basis points since inception. The growth runway ahead is even bigger.What You Will Do:This is a highly entrepreneurial role. You will be part of a small, high-ownership team , not a 50-person research factory. You will conduct sector agnostic, bottoms up research on companies identified through Monarch AIF's proprietary screeners. You will build financial models, analyse business models, meet management teams, conduct channel checks, visit plants, attend AGMs, and develop investment pitches that the Fund Manager acts on. You will track BFSI, IT and Tech, Consumer, and Mid and Small Caps, because great investors are not sector specialists, they are business analysts.The right person is equal parts analytical and passionate. A self starter who seeks ownership, not instructions. Someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty through on-ground, primary research , not just desk-based screen work.What We're Looking For:▸ 6-7+ years of equity research experience — Indian buy-side or sell-side at a reputable firm▸ CA or CFA (USA) qualification , MBA , Post graduation — non-negotiable▸ Sectors that we are looking for - BFSI, IT, Consumer, Mid and Small Caps▸ Deep understanding of financial statements, valuation frameworks, and business model analysis▸ Excellent management interaction skills , you will be the fund's face in front of company managements▸ Advanced Excel is a must. Strong writing and presentation skills.
