Senior Investment Analyst

Garry Executive Search is conducting a confidential, retained search on behalf of a fee-only registered investment advisor in Central New Jersey seeking an experienced Senior Investment Analyst to support and grow within its investment research function. This is a strong opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in multi-asset research who is looking to develop into a firm leadership role over time, working closely with senior investment professionals on strategy, portfolio construction, and the firm's investment committee process.The successful candidate will contribute to research across public equities, fixed income, ETFs, mutual funds, and alternative investments, support strategic asset allocation decisions, and play an increasingly active role with the firm's investment committee as they grow into the position. The role also includes collaborating with the broader research team, contributing to client communications and thought leadership content, and building toward a larger leadership role within the firm's investment platform.What You'll DoConduct fundamental, quantitative, and macroeconomic research across asset classesEvaluate individual securities, ETFs, mutual funds, and alternative investment strategies alongside senior team membersHelp monitor portfolio positioning, asset allocation, and risk exposures across client portfoliosContribute to the design and ongoing refinement of investment strategies and model portfoliosSupport due diligence for external managers and alternative investment opportunitiesTake a growing role in preparing and presenting research and recommendations to the investment committeeCollaborate with and support the broader research team on process, workflows, and best practicesParticipate in client meetings when appropriate to discuss investment strategy and market outlookContribute to written market updates, commentary, and educational contentWhat We're Looking ForRequired:5+ years of professional investment research, portfolio management, or related investment experienceSolid, hands-on exposure across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, ETFs, mutual funds, and/or alternative investments)Strong analytical and quantitative skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesDemonstrated initiative, organizational skills, and a desire to grow into greater leadership responsibility over timePreferred:Experience at a registered investment advisor (RIA) or similar independent wealth management firmAdvanced degree in finance, economics, business, or related fieldExposure to alternative investments, including private credit, private equity, real estate, or hedge fund strategiesExperience using Bloomberg Terminal or other institutional research platformsInterest in eventually contributing to or serving on an investment committeeCompensation & BenefitsBase salary $100K–$140K plus performance-based incentives and bonuses ($130K–$170K total starting comp), commensurate with experienceEmployee-owned firm; all employees participate in an ESOP with annual dividend withdrawal401k with a safe harbor match up to 4% plus a discretionary match of 3% of compensationFully paid health and dental insurance, 50% employer-paid visionLong-term disability and life insuranceHybrid schedule, two days remote per week, plus additional WFH periods around summer and holidays17 PTO days per year, plus a birthday PTO day and a holiday bonus day, 19 totalNo-cost wealth management and financial planning for employees and immediate family, discounted for extended familyEducation, certification, and conference supportWhy This OpportunityThis firm has built a strong reputation for integrity, collaboration, and personalized client care.
