Senior Investment Analyst — Fixed Income & Equity

About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Investment Analyst to join Meta X, one of Armenia's leading investment companies, and provide high-level analytical and research support to the investment team.This is a senior position in the investment team, working directly with and reporting to the Lead Portfolio Manager. You will be central to the research behind our portfolios, on a generalist mandate spanning fixed income and equity. The role is anchored in fixed income: we want someone who has covered credit across emerging and developed markets and can own the research process end to end. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead credit research across EM and DM: fundamentals, relative value, and new issues.
• Build and maintain issuer models; review documentation, covenants, and capital structure.
• Credit depth: able to build a credit view from the fundamentals and defend it under challenge.
• Cover equities as a generalist: company analysis, valuation, and idea generation.
• Monitor holdings, ratings actions, earnings, and market developments; flag risks early.
• Write investment memos and present recommendations, with a clear thesis and the case against it.
• Drive the regular reporting cycle by putting together clear, insightful portfolio updates and performance breakdowns for leadership and stakeholders.
• Work with the Lead Portfolio Manager on portfolio construction, positioning, and use of leverage.
• Participate in client meetings alongside the Lead Portfolio Manager, stepping up to engage with current investors and pitch prospective partners to help grow the business.
• Set research standards and support the development of the junior analyst. REQUIREMENTS
• Experience: 5–7 years in fixed income across emerging and developed markets, buy-side or sell-side.
• Equity: working knowledge of equity analysis and valuation; comfortable owning equity names.
• Judgement: a track record of forming independent views and sizing conviction appropriately.
• Preferred: CFA (or progress toward it); frontier or Armenian market experience. WHAT WE LOOK FOR Technical toolkit
• MS Office: advanced Excel is essential; Word and PowerPoint to a professional standard.
• Python: for data work, analysis, and automation; working proficiency rather than a CS background.
• Market data: Bloomberg and Cbonds, plus other data and screening tools used in research.
• Language Skills: Native-level Armenian, along with full professional fluency in English and Russian (reading and writing).How you work
