About the jobSenior Investment Research Analyst — Public MarketsFuture Edge Group | iPulse AINew York City · Full-time · OnsiteAbout iPulse AIiPulse AI is an Open Agentic Investment Research Platform being developed by Future Edge Group. We believe better investment decisions can help direct capital toward the companies, technologies, and ideas capable of building a stronger future. When investors can clearly understand a company’s products, objectives, financial position, strategy, risks, and broader mission, markets can allocate resources more intelligently—and promising businesses can earn support on the strength of transparent evidence. Our research principle is clear:Without bias. Grounded in evidence. Comparable by design. We build quantitative research methods, AI-assisted analysis, consensus scoring, portfolio intelligence, and transparent publication systems that help investors examine opportunities from multiple independent perspectives. Our goal is to remove noise, make disagreement visible, expose uncertainty and limitations, and distinguish evidence from promotion—not promise certainty or tell the world what to buy.About the roleWe are looking for an experienced investment research professional to help shape the analytical quality and practical usefulness of iPulse AI.You understand what it takes to move from an interesting company to a defensible investment thesis. You can assess financial statements, challenge valuation assumptions, identify overlooked risks, and explain what would change your view. You also understand the practical constraints investors face: limited research time, competing opportunities, conflicting information, and uncertainty about which conclusions deserve confidence. Our investment-research workflows combine company fundamentals, quantitative signals, AI-generated analysis, behavioral-finance considerations, and multiple independent research perspectives. Your role is to bring experienced investment judgment to this process. You will help determine whether our research asks the right questions, supports its conclusions, communicates uncertainty appropriately, and gives investors information they can use.We want someone who understands the investor’s side of the screen—and can help build the research platform they would want in their own workflow. This is a full-time, onsite position in New York City for an established professional with substantial experience in public-market investment research, asset management, wealth management, or a family office. What you will doConduct and review fundamental research on publicly listed companies, including business models, competitive positioning, management, capital allocation, financial performance, and valuation.Evaluate AI-generated investment theses for factual accuracy, source quality, logical consistency, credible assumptions, and material omissions.Develop bull, base, and bear cases with explicit assumptions, catalysts, downside risks, and conditions that would invalidate the thesis.Examine disagreements between research agents and distinguish meaningful differences in investment judgment from errors, weak evidence, or inconsistent methodologies.Assess whether asset rankings and consensus scores reflect the underlying research, valuation, uncertainty, and investment horizon.Help investors compare opportunities consistently while preserving meaningful differences between sectors, business models, and asset classes.Work with quantitative and AI specialists to evaluate forecast outcomes, distinguish sound reasoning from fortunate results, and identify recurring research failures.Translate professional investment workflows into practical improvements to research reports, screening tools, asset comparisons, and portfolio intelligence.Speak with investors and investment professionals to understand how they assess opportunities, use research tools, and decide whether a service earns their trust.Develop clear research standards, review frameworks, and publication guidelines that make analytical quality repeatable.Produce investment commentary and methodology explanations that are accessible without sacrificing substance.Document uncertainty, conflicting evidence, and negative findings with the same discipline as compelling opportunities. What we are looking forAt least seven years of relevant professional experience, with substantial responsibility for public-market investment research or investment decisions.Strong foundations in financial statement analysis, equity valuation, business analysis, portfolio construction, and investment risk.Experience independently developing, presenting, and defending investment theses to portfolio managers, investment committees, clients, or other demanding audiences. The ability to explain how valuation, business quality, catalysts, and market expectations interact—and why a strong company may still be an unattractive investment.Practical familiarity with behavioral finance, including overconfidence, anchoring, confirmation bias, herding, and narrative bias.Experience using investment research platforms and a clear understanding of what makes research worth paying for.Practical familiarity with ChatGPT, Claude, or comparable AI tools, together with the judgment to verify their outputs and recognize their limitations.Strong spreadsheet and financial-modeling skills. Familiarity with Python, SQL, or research automation is welcome.Clear writing that distinguishes facts, estimates, assumptions, and opinions. The independence to identify problems, propose improvements, and take ownership in an early-stage business.Intellectual honesty and a willingness to revise a strongly held view when the evidence changes.Evidence of exceptional abilityWe look for a sustained record of sound investment judgment and useful research.Strong signals may include:Investment research that materially informed portfolio decisions.Original insights supported by primary evidence and disciplined valuation.Well-documented investment theses with subsequent reviews of what proved right or wrong.Early identification of material risks, accounting concerns, or weaknesses in a widely accepted market narrative.Research processes that improved analytical quality, coverage, or efficiency.Clear communication of complex investment issues to investment committees or clients.Published research, substantive investment writing, or an inspectable body of analytical work.Meaningful responsibility within an asset manager, investment advisory firm, family office, or established research business.Where investment performance is presented, we consider the benchmark, risk taken, time horizon, and your actual contribution. We value candidates who can explain a successful investment, a failed thesis, and a situation in which changing their mind was the right decision.Prestige may begin the conversation. Demonstrated excellence—and commitment to the mission—earns a place on the team.QualificationsBachelor’s or advanced degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related discipline—or equivalent substantial professional evidence. At least seven years of relevant investment experience, including independent ownership of research or investment recommendations.CFA designation or comparable professional qualifications are valued.Ability to work onsite in New York City.ApplicationPlease submit your CV and a short explanation of how your investment experience would help improve iPulse AI.An existing public or anonymized research sample is welcome.
