Senior iOS Developer

ALTEN Romania, part of the international ALTEN Group - with a unique position as a Leader in IT and engineering Consulting- has supported its clients’ development strategies in innovation, R&D, and IT systems since 1996.We are looking for a Senior iOS Developer who is passionate about building high-quality mobile applications and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers and Platform Teams to develop and enhance a modern mobile banking application. We are seeking someone who is curious, proactive, eager to learn, and willing to contribute not only through technical expertise but also through teamwork, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.A typical day might include the following:Design, develop and maintain advanced applications for the iOS platform.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Designers, Backend Developers and other Engineers, to define, design and deliver new features.Build scalable, maintainable and high-quality mobile solutions following best development practices.Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues and implement performance improvements.Design and maintain robust networking layers, ensuring reliability and resilience in varying connectivity conditions.Implement secure data storage and offline-capable mobile solutions.Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining code quality and consistency across the codebase.Support CI/CD processes and application delivery to TestFlight and the App Store.Share knowledge within the team and stay up to date with the latest iOS technologies and industry trends.To ensure success in this role, you need the following experience and skills:7+ years of proven experience in iOS development.Strong proficiency in Swift and hands-on experience with SwiftUI.Solid knowledge of UIKit and the iOS SDK ecosystem.Experience building, releasing and maintaining production-grade iOS applications.Strong understanding of Swift 6 Concurrency (async/await, structured concurrency, actors), as well as GCD and Operation Queues.Experience with reactive programming frameworks such as Combine and/or RxSwift.Deep understanding of iOS architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVVM-C, VIPER, MVI, and Clean Architecture principles.Knowledge of SOLID principles and modular application design.Experience integrating and consuming REST APIs, JSON-based services and ideally gRPC.Experience with data persistence solutions such as Core Data and/or SwiftData.Knowledge of secure data handling practices, including Keychain and App Transport Security.Experience with offline-first architectures, caching strategies and background processing.Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment workflows, including Fastlane, GitHub Actions, TestFlight and App Store releases.Strong debugging and performance optimization skills using tools such as Instruments.Proficiency with Git, code reviews and collaborative development workflows.Good understanding of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (HIG).Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.Fluency in English, both written and spoken.Nice to have:Experience in the banking or financial services industry.Experience with feature flags, A/B testing or remote configuration solutions.Experience working on transportation, logistics, event-driven or real-time applications.Experience designing mobile APIs, client architecture or mobile development tools.
