Senior iOS DeveloperEmployment type: Full-time · Experience: 5–8 yearsAbout the roleWe are hiring a Senior iOS Developer to design, build and ship high-quality iOS apps used by real customers at scale. You will own features end to end, shape the app's architecture, and raise the engineering bar for the team.This role suits an engineer with 5–8 years of hands-on iOS experience, deep Swift knowledge, strong fundamentals in architecture and testing, and the judgement to make sound technical trade-offs. You will work with product, design, backend and QA, and report to the Engineering lead.What you will doDesign and build iOS features end to end, from technical design through release and post-launch monitoring.Define and evolve the app architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture or similar), module boundaries and dependency management.Write clean, testable, well-documented Swift code and set the standard through thoughtful code reviews.Build modern UI with SwiftUI and UIKit that follows Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and supports accessibility and Dynamic Type.Own performance: app launch time, memory, battery, networking, and smooth scrolling, using Instruments to find and fix bottlenecks.Integrate REST/GraphQL APIs, push notifications, analytics, payments and third-party SDKs securely and reliably.Build and maintain unit, UI and snapshot tests, and keep CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, Xcode Cloud or similar) fast and stable.Manage App Store releases, TestFlight betas, crash monitoring and phased rollouts.Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and help the team make good technical decisions.Partner with product, design, backend and QA to scope work, flag risks early and deliver predictably.What you bring5–8 years of professional iOS development, with at least two apps shipped to the App Store and maintained in production.Expert Swift, including generics, protocols, property wrappers and value vs reference semantics, plus working knowledge of Objective-C for legacy code.Deep experience with UIKit and SwiftUI, and the judgement to choose between them.Strong concurrency skills: async/await, actors, structured concurrency, Combine and GCD, and how to avoid races and retain cycles.Solid grasp of architecture and design patterns, SOLID principles and dependency injection, with experience refactoring large codebases.Strong testing habits: XCTest, Swift Testing, UI tests, mocking and testable design.Experience with networking, persistence (Core Data, SwiftData, Realm or SQLite), caching and offline-first behaviour.Good understanding of app security: Keychain, certificate pinning, secure storage and privacy requirements (App Tracking Transparency, privacy manifests).Proficiency with Git, pull-request workflows and CI/CD.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, including Instruments and the Xcode debugger.Clear written and spoken English, and the ability to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Technology skills at a glanceLanguages: Swift (primary), Objective-C (working knowledge)UI: SwiftUI, UIKit, Auto Layout, Core Animation, accessibility (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type)Architecture: MVVM, Clean Architecture, VIPER or TCA, modular design with Swift Package Manager, dependency injectionConcurrency: async/await, actors, Combine, GCDData and networking: URLSession, REST, GraphQL, Codable, Core Data, SwiftData, Realm or SQLite, KeychainTesting and quality: XCTest, Swift Testing, XCUITest, snapshot tests, SwiftLintTooling and delivery: Xcode, Instruments, Git, Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, TestFlight, App Store ConnectPlatform services: push notifications (APNs), deep links and Universal Links, in-app purchases (StoreKit), HealthKit, MapKit or similar frameworks as neededObservability: Firebase Crashlytics or Sentry, analytics SDKs, MetricKitAI-assisted engineering: AI coding assistants for code, tests and documentation, with careful human review of everything they produceNice to have and how to applyNice to haveExperience building or maintaining an SDK or shared framework for other teams.Cross-platform exposure (React Native, Flutter or Kotlin Multiplatform) and a good sense of when to use it.Experience with on-device ML (Core ML), widgets, App Clips, watchOS or CarPlay.Experience with performance, security or accessibility audits.Open-source contributions, technical writing or conference talks.Experience leading a small team or acting as a tech lead.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.How to apply: Send your resume and links to your App Store apps, GitHub or code samples to [application email to be added].
