About NuFriendsNuFriends is a social platform bringing strangers together IRL to find NuFriends. We have raised capital at a ~$13.2M post-money valuation to fund the initial build and launch of the platform from a prominent angel investor. About the roleWe’re looking for a Founding Senior iOS Engineer to help build the NuFriends iOS + Android application from the ground up. As one of our earliest engineers, you’ll have significant ownership over the iOS + Android product and the technical foundation behind it. What you'll doBuild the NuFriends iOS + Android Product Design, build, and refine core experiences across the NuFriends iOS + Android application.Build the application from the ground up, establishing patterns and architecture that can scale with the product.Develop experiences across onboarding, profiles, event discovery, event joining, invitations, notifications, and post-event messaging.Translate product concepts and Figma designs into intuitive, polished, and performant iOS experiences.Monitor, diagnose, and resolve production crashes, bugs, and performance issues.Continuously improve the reliability, performance, and quality of the application.Apple Ecosystem Expertise: Stay current with the latest Apple platform updates, leveraging new capabilities to drive innovation within the app.Architecture & Scalability: Maintain and evolve a scalable, extensible, and efficient application architecture to support future growth.What's neededProficiency in Swift & UIKit: In-depth knowledge of Swift, UIKit, and iOS app developmentApp Architecture: Familiarity with client application and systems architecture patterns like VIPER, MVVM, and MVP.Feature Development: Experience building and maintaining apps with comprehensive feature sets and rich user interfaces. Production Support: Prior experience operating and troubleshooting production apps.Problem-Solving & Organization: A structured thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture.SwiftUI & Concurrency: Experience with SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency is a plus.CI/CD & Deployment: Familiarity with Github Actions, CircleCI, Fastlane, and TestFlight is a plus.In-App Purchases: Experience with in-app purchases is a plus.NuFriends is an equal-opportunity employer.
