Technology plays a central role in the business, with its mobile application becoming an increasingly important part of how customers interact with the brand.They are looking for an experienced Senior iOS Engineer to take ownership of their iOS application, driving its continued development and helping shape the future of the mobile experience.This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role offering significant autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine impact. Rather than simply maintaining an existing application, you will be responsible for championing its development, introducing new features and identifying opportunities to improve performance, personalisation and customer engagement.The RoleTake end-to-end technical ownership of the iOS application, driving its ongoing development and improvementDesign, develop and deliver new features using Swift and SwiftUIChampion the mobile application internally, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance functionality and user experienceDevelop features focused on personalisation, customer engagement and improving the overall user journeyImplement and optimise in-app functionality, including push notifications and customer-facing featuresWork closely with Product, Data, Insights and Marketing teams to translate business requirements and customer insights into technical solutionsTake ownership of technical decisions, ensuring the application remains scalable, reliable and high-performingOversee mobile quality assurance, automated testing and release processesIntegrate APIs and backend services to support seamless application functionalityUse customer feedback and performance data to identify areas for improvementContribute to the wider mobile technology roadmap and help shape the future direction of the applicationDrive best practices in iOS development, ensuring high standards of code quality, usability and performanceAbout YouStrong commercial experience as a Senior iOS EngineerExcellent hands-on development skills using Swift and SwiftUIProven experience building, developing and releasing consumer-facing iOS applicationsExperience taking ownership of an application or significant mobile features from development through to releaseStrong understanding of iOS architecture, mobile QA, testing and performance optimisationExperience integrating APIs and working with backend servicesA genuine product mindset, with an interest in understanding customer behaviour and improving the overall user experienceComfortable making independent technical decisions and taking ownership of projectsStrong communication skills and experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersA proactive, pragmatic and hands-on approach to problem-solvingComfortable working within a lean, collaborative engineering teamExperience with personalisation, push notifications, e-commerce applications or data-driven feature development would be highly advantageous.
