This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical depth, ownership, and the ability to deliver impact from day one.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deliver scalable, high-performance Java applicationsOwn delivery across the full SDLC (design → build → test → release)Build and maintain low-latency, highly available systemsContribute to architecture, design decisions, and code reviewsCollaborate across multiple engineering teams to deliver business outcomesDrive issues to resolution with a strong ownership mindsetEnsure production stability, monitoring, and continuous optimisationRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of professional software development experienceStrong Java development experience in microservices / web services architectureHands-on experience with:Spring BootSQL / relational databasesREST APIsExperience with:Docker and KubernetesCI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins)Version control (Git)Knowledge of monitoring and performance tools is a plusPayments experience is a plusKey CompetenciesProven experience working across multiple engineering teamsExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate
