The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring technologies. This role requires strong hands-on coding expertise, architectural contribution, cloud-native development experience, and the ability to mentor team members while collaborating with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.Contribute to software architecture decisions and technical design discussions.Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices following industry best practices.Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems.Review code, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments.Participate in CI/CD implementation and deployment automation initiatives.Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.Required Skills & Experience6+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.Strong understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Design, and Design Patterns.Proven experience designing and implementing Microservices Architecture.Hands-on experience with REST APIs, API security, and backend integrations.Experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms.Strong knowledge of SQL and database design with MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server.Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.Working knowledge of OAuth2, SSO, Azure AD, authentication, authorization, and application security.Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.Experience with Linux environments and command-line tools.Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.Solid understanding of JVM internals, performance tuning, and application optimization.Preferred SkillsExperience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems.Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.Experience building high-availability, cloud-native applications.Discipline in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices.What We Look ForStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to mentor and guide junior developers.Ownership mindset with a focus on delivering business value.Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to engineering excellence.
