Senior Java Software Engineer

We continue to build on our history as the preferred engineering partner for thriving Silicon Valley tech companies, now as a prominent Cognizant next generation studio.This role requires office work 2-3 days/week.Essential Skills & Experience:5+ Backend: Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and common design patterns.Frontend: Practical experience with React or Angular (component architecture, state management, forms).Microservices: Hands‑on experience designing and implementing microservice-based architectures.Hands-on relevant experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers;Databases: Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, BigQuery).CI/CD: Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and automated build/deploy pipelines.Containers: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm chartsCognizant Romania Employee Benefits:Flexible Work Schedule – Outside of core working hours, you have the flexibility to arrange your schedule in a way that best suits your personal and professional needs.Flexible Hybrid Approach – We support a hybrid working model that helps you balance remote and office work.
