Senior Java Developer | Regulatory Change | T+1 Settlement Programme | Investment BankingA leading global investment bank is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a strategic technology programme supporting the industry's transition to T+1 settlement.This role sits within a regulatory and post-trade technology function responsible for delivering system and process changes required to support the move from T+2 to T+1 settlement across UK and European markets. The initiative is intended to accelerate securities settlement, reduce risk and improve market efficiency.Working closely with technology, operations, settlements, asset servicing and regulatory stakeholders, you'll help design and deliver enhancements across critical trade processing and post-trade platforms.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop strategic Java applications supporting the T+1 settlement programmeDeliver enhancements across post-trade, settlement and trade processing platformsWork closely with business analysts, operations teams and technology stakeholdersBuild scalable event-driven and microservices-based solutionsContribute to system design, architecture and technical directionSupport testing, migration and implementation activities associated with regulatory changeRequired ExperienceStrong Core Java development experienceExperience building distributed systems and microservicesStrong understanding of enterprise integration and messaging technologiesExperience working within investment banking or capital markets environmentsStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsHighly DesirableExperience in one or more of the following:Securities FinanceSecurities LendingStock LoanPrime BrokerageAsset ServicingCorporate ActionsSettlementsClearingTrade ProcessingBooks & RecordsPost Trade TechnologyRegulatory ReportingEquities Operations TechnologyTechnology StackJavaSpring BootKafkaMicroservicesREST APIsSQL / NoSQL DatabasesCloud TechnologiesDistributed SystemsIf this sounds like something you could be interested in, please apply to the job ad and a member of the team will get in touch!
