Senior Java Software Engineer

Experience: 7-10 Years

Location: BudapestWe are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with 7-10 years of experience in designing and building enterprise-grade applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Core Java, Data Structures & Algorithms, Distributed Systems, Multithreaded Architecture, and Linux environments. Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code is highly desirable to accelerate software development and improve engineering productivity.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java-based applications.Build and optimize distributed and microservices-based systems.Develop robust, multi-threaded and concurrent applications with a focus on performance and reliability.Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and technical decision making.Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Work in Linux/Unix environments for development, deployment, and troubleshooting.Utilize AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar platforms throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support activities.Required Skills 7-10 years of strong hands-on experience in Java development.Excellent knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.Strong experience in designing and developing distributed systems.Deep understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and performance tuning.Solid experience working in Linux/Unix environments.Basic understanding of Python for scripting and automation.Experience with REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, and modern software design patterns.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred Skills Familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent. Agile & Collaboration Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and iterative software development practices.Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.Interested?
