Senior Java Spring Boot DeveloperDepartment: TechnologyLevel: SeniorExperience: 5+ yearsLocation: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (on-site)We are looking for a Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to design, build, and lead the delivery of scalable backend services powering our fintech platform. You will set technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and ensure our systems meet the reliability and security standards expected in a regulated financial environment.Key Responsibilities•    Design and develop robust, high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot•    Own the architecture of key backend modules and make key technical decisions•    Lead code reviews and enforce engineering best practices across the team•    Mentor junior and mid-level developers, providing technical guidance and growth support•    Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps to deliver features end-to-end•    Design and integrate RESTful APIs, including secure open banking / third-party integrations•    Optimize application performance, scalability, and database query efficiency•    Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and regulatory/compliance requirements (e.g. SAMA)•    Participate in system design discussions and technical roadmap planning•    Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including on-call support as neededRequirements•    5+ years of professional experience developing with Java and Spring Boot•    Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design•    Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and SQL optimization•    Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)•    Solid grasp of authentication/authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT)•    Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)•    Strong understanding of software design patterns, testing practices, and clean code principles•    Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with proven mentorship experience•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldNice to Have•    Experience in fintech, banking, or a SAMA-regulated environment•    Familiarity with open banking standards (FAPI 2.0, mTLS, DPoP)•    Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with APM/observability tools (Dynatrace, New Relic, etc.)
