Senior KYC & AML Specialist | Client Onboarding & Due Diligence

BAB Consult is supporting an international financial services organization in Sofia in the search for an experienced KYC / AML / Client Due Diligence professional to join their team.This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of complex client onboarding cases, working with international stakeholders and applying a risk-based approach to KYC and compliance reviews.Your responsibilities:• Take ownership of end-to-end client onboarding and KYC reviews;• Review client documentation and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements;• Prepare risk assessments, transaction profiles and Client Acceptance Files;• Identify, assess and escalate compliance risks when required;• Work closely with Compliance Officers, Legal Account Managers and stakeholders across different jurisdictions;• Participate in Client Acceptance Meetings and follow up on required actions• Support periodic and change reviews;• Act as a subject matter expert on KYC, risk-based approach and regulatory requirements• Support and coach Junior and Medior team members;• Contribute to consistent application of compliance policies and procedures across the team.What you bring• Previous relevant experience in KYC, AML, Client Due Diligence, Client Onboarding or Compliance• Strong knowledge of KYC requirements and risk assessment / risk-based approach;• Experience handling client files independently and managing multiple cases and priorities;• Experience in an international or multi-jurisdictional environment;• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills;• Excellent English, written and spoken;• High level of accuracy, organization and professional judgment;• Previous mentoring or coaching experience is an advantage;• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Risk, Compliance, Finance or a related field is preferred.Why this opportunity?You will have the opportunity to work in an international environment, collaborate with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions and take real ownership of complex KYC and client due diligence processes.If you are currently working in KYC, AML, CDD, Client Onboarding or Compliance and are ready for a senior role with broader responsibility, we would be happy to connect.📩 Send your CV to BAB Consult or contact us directly for more information.B.A.B.
