The Senior Lab Technician will perform and oversee routine and specialized laboratory tests, ensuring accurate processing of blood, RT-PCR, and other diagnostic samples. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, monitoring quality control procedures, and adhering to established safety and regulatory standards. This role involves supervising junior laboratory staff, supporting training and workflow optimization, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain efficient laboratory operations. The Senior Lab Technician will also support documentation, reporting, and continuous process improvements to uphold high-quality diagnostic services.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including experience performing diagnostic tests and managing laboratory workflows.Candidates should possess proficiency in handling and maintaining laboratory equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.Candidates should possess robust quality control knowledge, ensuring compliance with laboratory standards, protocols, and safety guidelines.Candidates should possess well-developed analytical skills to interpret test results, identify discrepancies, and support accurate reporting.Candidates should possess experience working as laboratory technicians, including mentoring or guiding junior lab staff.Relevant academic background such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.Familiarity with diagnostic laboratory regulations and accreditation requirements.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Comfort with basic laboratory IT systems and documentation practices.
