Drydocks World is expanding to Serbia!We are establishing a new Engineering Project Support Centre in Belgrade, creating exciting opportunities for talented Serbian engineers to contribute to major global EPC, FPSO, Offshore Oil & Gas, and HVDC projects.If you are interested in working on world-class projects while helping build a new engineering hub from the ground up, we would love to hear from you.”Job PurposeResponsible for organization and function of Piping Design Modeling and layout in the Piping discipline of the engineering department.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and maintain manpower and other resources required for smooth operation of piping Design section.Complete the projects within allocated budget and schedule with required quality.Identification and planning of training requirements for assigned disciplines employees.Ensuring design work undertaken is accordance with Departmental Work Instructions, Procedures and Standards.Ensuring that all activities are in line with OHS & E requirements.Liaison with Engineer in order to assure that all technical/engineering requirements are met.Liaison with Classification Societies.Maintaining the discipline of the department and yard.Prepare and review design drawings and documents.Executing duties of engineer according to qualification if required.Monitor and appraise subordinates based on performance management and assessment system. EducationBachelor degree in Mechanical engineering Experience10+ years relevant experience in shipyard, offshore Sub-Stations / Oil & Gas industry in design office.Minimum 5 years of experience as Lead Piping Designer.Experience with performing FEED design, FEED Verification & Detail Engineering for Piping Discipline., experience in design codes (like ASME, DIN, NORSOK), well versed with various international material standards as well as a good understanding of ABS, DNV, API, ASME and other related industry regulations and standards.Key CompetenciesBroad technical knowledge for piping design on basic, detail and production stages for marine and offshore constructions etc.Familiarity with 3D modelling software.Broad technical knowledge of piping stress analysis.Strong background with resolution of design and layout issues during projects planning and execution phases.
