This is a hands-on role with technical leadership scope — you will design the architecture, write production code, and be the technical point of contact for the client.You will work in a small, senior team with direct client exposure. Requirements come to you unfiltered, which means you will shape the solution rather than just implement a spec. As Senior/Lead, you will also set engineering standards, review code, and mentor the engineers around you as the team grows.Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in PHP Own technical decisions: architecture, data modelling, integration design, and technical trade-offs Translate business requirements into technical specifications, and raise concerns early when requirements are unclear or risky Lead code reviews and set engineering standards across the team Mentor mid-level and junior engineers; grow the team's technical capability Work directly with clients and product stakeholders in English — requirement sessions, demos, design walkthroughs, and status reporting Investigate and resolve production issues; own performance, reliability, and security of the services you build Collaborate with Frontend, QA, DevOps, and Product to deliver features end to endRequirements7+ years of professional PHP development (5+ for Senior, 7+ for Lead)Strong command of modern PHP (8.x) and at least one major framework — Laravel or SymfonySolid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, and integrating third-party systemsStrong relational database skills (MySQL/PostgreSQL): schema design, query optimisation, indexingPractical experience with caching (Redis), queues/async processing, and application performance tuningComfortable with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Agile/Scrum deliveryProven experience leading or mentoring engineers and owning technical direction on a projectGood at English communication.Nice to HaveExperience with microservices or event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ)AWS experience (EC2/ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda) — a strong plusFrontend familiarity (Vue.js, React) for full-stack collaborationExperience working in an outsourcing / client-services model with US or EU clientsExposure to Golang, Node.js, or Python as a secondary languageTest automation experience (PHPUnit, Pest)Your BenefitsSponsorship for professional certification examsFlexible working hours (core time: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday) and work-from-home policyHealthcare: Annual health check-up, Premium Health Insurance12 annual leaves + public holidays13th-month salaryBonus for excellent project performanceYear End Party (YEP), company trip, team building activities, happy hourSnacks, coffee, tea and soft drinks available in the officeMarriage gift, sick leave support, funeral/maternity supportLunar New Year giftsFree parking, provided devicesContact Us to Apply
