The Senior Lecturer will design, deliver, and continuously improve undergraduate and postgraduate courses, ensuring that teaching materials, assessments, and learning activities meet institutional standards and industry expectations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting lectures and tutorials, supervising student projects and theses, providing academic advising, and supporting student development through constructive feedback and mentoring. The role also involves engaging in scholarly research, publishing in relevant journals, securing research funding where possible, and contributing to academic conferences and collaborations. In addition, the Senior Lecturer will participate in curriculum development, quality assurance processes, departmental meetings, and community or industry engagement that enhances the reputation and impact of the University.Qualifications Advanced academic qualifications in a relevant discipline (preferably a PhD, or at minimum a Master’s degree with significant academic and professional experience).Proven teaching experience in higher education, including course planning, lecturing, tutorial facilitation, and student supervision.Demonstrated research capability with a record of publications, conference presentations, or funded projects.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse student cohorts and collaborate effectively with colleagues.Experience with curriculum development, academic quality assurance, and outcomes-based education or similar pedagogical frameworks.Ability to integrate industry-relevant content, applied projects, and experiential learning into teaching activities.Competence in using learning management systems and educational technologies to support teaching, assessment, and student interaction.Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory educational practices and to supporting students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
