The Senior Lecturer will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses, prepare teaching materials, supervise student projects and theses, and provide academic advising and mentoring. The role involves conducting high-quality research, publishing in reputable journals, participating in conferences, and seeking research funding where appropriate. The Senior Lecturer will contribute to departmental and faculty committees, curriculum development, and quality assurance processes, while supporting outreach and community engagement initiatives aligned with the university’s mission. The position also includes collaborating with colleagues across disciplines, maintaining professional development, and upholding ethical and inclusive academic practices.QualificationsAdvanced academic credentials, typically a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Science and Engineering focusing on Environmental Engineering, with a strong record of teaching and research experience in higher education.Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, course design, and learner-centered teaching methods, including the effective use of educational technology and assessment strategies.Proven research capability, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and engagement in scholarly projects or grants.Strong communication, presentation, and academic writing skills, with the ability to teach and supervise diverse student cohorts in a clear, inclusive, and respectful manner.Experience in academic administration or committee work, with skills in collaboration, leadership, and contribution to departmental, faculty, and university governance.Commitment to ethical conduct, equal opportunity, and supportive learning environments, including mentoring early-career academics and promoting professional growth.Familiarity with regional and international higher education standards and willingness to engage in community outreach and industry or societal partnerships.
