The role involves delivering lectures, seminars, and practical demonstrations across undergraduate and, where applicable, postgraduate dental programs. The Senior Lecturer or Reader will supervise clinical work, guide students during patient care, and ensure adherence to academic and clinical standards. Responsibilities include mentoring students, supervising projects and dissertations, participating in examinations and assessments, and contributing to curriculum review and academic planning. The role also includes involvement in departmental research, participation in academic committees, collaboration with colleagues across dental specialties, and support for institutional initiatives and community dental health programs.Qualifications Recognized dental qualification (BDS) with a postgraduate degree (MDS) in a relevant dental specialty from an accredited institution.Teaching and mentoring experience in dental education, including classroom instruction, clinical supervision, and assessment of students.Demonstrated clinical competence in the relevant dental department, with strong patient management and ethical practice standards.Experience in academic administration, curriculum development, and participation in departmental or institutional committees.Engagement in research, publications, conferences, or continuing professional development activities related to dentistry.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic environment.Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation requirements for dental colleges, and commitment to quality assurance in teaching and clinical work.Eligibility as per relevant university and regulatory body norms (e.g., state university and dental council requirements) for Senior Lecturer or Reader positions.
