The School of Nursing and Midwifery has a reputation for contemporary and innovative Nursing and Midwifery provision, including BSc Midwifery, Midwifery Degree Apprenticeship, MSc Midwifery (Shortened) and postgraduate modules. The focus of this post is the delivery and leadership of pre-registration BSc Midwifery to ensure that midwives at the point of registration, are equipped to provide skilled, knowledgeable, respectful and compassionate care. Women, birthing people and families are at the heart of our teaching, and this is reflected in our knowledgeable, kind and committed students. The successful individual will work alongside the Lead Midwife for Education (LME), in the role of Course Leader (minimum of two years) to manage day-to-day operations, quality assurance, curriculum design, and midwifery student experienceThe post holder should be able to draw on their own subject knowledge and will be committed to promoting evidence based best practice that underpins critical thinking, leadership, decision-making and problem-solving skills required to enable midwifery students to fulfil their role.
