Senior Legal Counsel

Our client is a global consumer technology leader with a significant presence across Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Legal Counsel to join their Amsterdam-based legal team.This is a broad, business-facing role offering exposure to senior leadership across the organisation. You'll act as a trusted adviser on a wide range of commercial, regulatory, competition, data privacy and compliance matters, helping to support strategic initiatives while enabling the business to operate effectively in a complex legal environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a trusted legal partner to senior leadership across the Benelux business.Lead negotiations and provide advice on a wide range of commercial agreements, including technology, procurement, sales, and strategic partnership contracts.Advise on competition law, distribution models, commercial practices, and associated risk management.Support privacy and data protection matters, including GDPR compliance, cross-border data transfers, and regulatory enquiries.Drive legal compliance initiatives and contribute to the development of governance frameworks and business policies.Manage external counsel and support investigations, disputes, and regulatory engagements where required.About YouQualified lawyer with at least 5 years' legal experience gained in-house and/or at a leading law firm.Strong background in commercial contracting, EU competition law, and data privacy.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multinational environment.Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver practical, risk-based advice.Experience mentoring junior team members is advantageous.Fluent in both English and Dutch.The OpportunityThis role offers the chance to join a globally recognised organisation in a highly visible legal position, working on complex commercial and regulatory matters while partnering closely with business leadership across the region.
