They are in an exciting period of growth, and the legal function plays a genuine commercial partnership role at the highest levels of the organisation.About the RoleReporting to the General Counsel, this is a commercially focused in-house counsel role supporting the Australian business across a broad range of legal matters. You will act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, drafting and negotiating contracts, managing compliance, supporting corporate governance, and contributing to strategic initiatives as they arise.This role can be based in Sydney or Brisbane.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review and negotiate commercial contracts across a range of business areasProvide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice to stakeholders across the businessSupport regulatory compliance, data privacy and corporate governance obligationsAssist with strategic projects and transactions as requiredMonitor relevant legislative and regulatory developmentsAbout YouAdmitted in Australia with a current practising certificate5–10 years PQE from in-house and/or private practiceStrong commercial contracts experience across a generalist remitComfortable operating autonomously while collaborating across a broader teamExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience in a listed company or multinational environment advantageousWhat's on OfferBroad, generalist remit with exposure to complex commercial mattersCollaborative and high-performing legal teamFlexible and hybrid working arrangementsClear pathway for career progressionFoundry Talent Partners have been exclusively engaged to recruit this opportunity on behalf of our client.
