Senior Legal Counsel

Swiss Nexus is partnering with a fast-growing crypto payments infrastructure company to hire a Senior Counsel in New York City.Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this is a broad, hands-on in-house role focused primarily on commercial and transactional matters. You will own partnership and vendor agreements while also supporting regulatory analysis, product counselling, corporate governance and employment matters as the company grows.What you’ll doDraft and negotiate integration partnerships, vendor agreements and other commercial contracts.Advise on regulatory, product, governance and general corporate matters.Partner closely with Business Development, Product and Finance teams.Develop scalable legal templates, processes and contracting workflows.Use AI and modern legal technology to manage high-volume drafting efficiently.Operate effectively in a fast-moving startup environment with shifting priorities.What we’re looking forJD from an accredited US law school.Admission to the bar in at least one US state.At least two years of experience at a top-tier law firm, focused on technology transactions or commercial contracts.Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to work quickly without sacrificing precision.Comfortable incorporating AI and legal technology into day-to-day work.Commercial judgment and the ability to collaborate with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.Nice to haveIn-house experience at a growth-stage technology company.Payments, fintech, blockchain or digital-assets experience.Experience with cross-border agreements or international corporate structures.Compensation and benefitsBase salary of $180,000–$250,000.Equity and performance incentives.Comprehensive benefits.About Swiss NexusSwiss Nexus is a specialist recruitment firm connecting engineering, product and leadership talent with companies operating across blockchain, Web3, fintech and advanced technology.
