Senior Legal Counsel | DusseldorfAn established financial services group is looking to strengthen its in-house legal team with an experienced lawyer. Sitting at the centre of the group's legal function, this role covers a broad mandate spanning corporate, regulatory, commercial and real estate matters. You will work closely with management and business units across multiple group entities, so it suits someone who enjoys variety and wants to shape outcomes rather than simply advise on them.The role:Structure and negotiate commercial agreements with external partners and between group companies, frequently with a cross-border dimension.Serve as the go-to legal contact for group entities on company law and financial regulation.Handle the legal side of real estate deals, taking each one through to closing.Lead the legal workstream on projects touching brand protection, fair trading and antitrust.Keep management and business units informed of relevant legal and regulatory change, translating it into clear next steps.What you'll need:Business-fluent German and English, with other languages a plus.Both German state law examinations and a number of years' post-qualification experience in a law firm or legal department, ideally in a regulated financial environment.Strong expertise in company law and financial services regulation, with any familiarity with IP, antitrust, real estate or securities law considered beneficial.Confidence handling complex negotiations, including with international counterparties.Clear, audience-appropriate communication and a collaborative approach, balanced with the ability to work independently.How to apply:Interested?
