Senior Legal Researcher

Role Description The Senior Legal Researcher will conduct in-depth legal research on topics related to technology, cybersecurity, data protection, telecom regulations, and commercial contracts relevant to Wriggy Digital’s services. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing statutes, regulations, case law, and regulatory guidance, preparing clear legal memoranda and research reports, and supporting the drafting and review of legal documents, policies, and compliance frameworks. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide legal insights on IT infrastructure projects, cloud strategy, data privacy, and commercial arrangements, while helping maintain internal knowledge repositories and templates. This is a part-time hybrid role based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.QualificationsStrong foundation in Law with experience in technology, cybersecurity, data protection, commercial, or telecom-related legal domains.Excellent Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex legal texts and assess regulatory implications for business operations.Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, compliance documents, and legal memoranda.Advanced Research skills for locating, evaluating, and synthesizing statutes, case law, regulatory guidance, and industry standards.Clear and professional Communication skills, with the ability to present legal findings to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.Relevant academic background such as an LL.B or equivalent law degree; advanced legal qualifications or specialization in IT/cyber law are an advantage.Prior experience in a legal research or in-house counsel role, preferably within IT, digital transformation, telecom, or cybersecurity sectors.High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple research assignments in a part-time, hybrid setting.
