Please note that mortgage loan applications for properties located in New York are not accepted through this site.Role Description The Senior Loan Officer is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans and guiding clients through the end-to-end lending process. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Northern CA, with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include identifying prospective borrowers, building and maintaining relationships with real estate partners, evaluating borrower financial profiles, and recommending appropriate loan products. The Senior Loan Officer will gather and review documentation, coordinate with underwriting and processing teams, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves delivering clear, timely communication to clients, proactively resolving issues, and driving a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.Qualifications Loan origination and loan officer experience, including managing a pipeline of residential mortgage applications.Solid finance and mortgage industry knowledge, with the ability to analyze income, credit, assets, and collateral.Understanding of underwriting principles and guidelines, and the ability to collaborate effectively with underwriting teams.Strong customer service skills, with a track record of building trust, communicating clearly, and supporting clients throughout the loan process.Knowledge of loan products, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to multi-state mortgage lending.Proficiency with mortgage origination systems and technology platforms; comfort working in a hybrid office/remote environment.Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up.Prior success in a senior or high-volume loan officer role; active NMLS license and applicable state licensing required.
