We are a team of Innovators, Collaborators and Doers.We’re seeking a Senior ML Engineer to join us.As a Senior ML Engineer at Zotec, you will build and extend the machine learning and AI systems that give our teams direct, governed access to data and AI tooling. You will design and ship models, build the infrastructure and integrations that connect large language models to real Zotec data, and help define how AI systems reason over that data safely and accurately. This role is perfect if you’re passionate about applied ML, AI tooling, and turning complex data into systems the business can actually use.We’re seeking ML engineering professionals with:Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a STEM field; Master's degree preferred3-5 years delivering ML solutions at scaleProficiency in:PythonMachine learning model development, training, and evaluationWorking with structured and unstructured data at scaleSystem design for data and ML pipelinesFamiliarity with:AWS, including SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, and RedshiftClaude and other large language modelsOntology, knowledge graphs, or structured data modelingDevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC)Experience in:Building and maintaining tools and integrations that connect large language models to real data sourcesDeploying and monitoring ML models in production on AWSApplying knowledge representation (ontologies, taxonomies, or graphs) to improve retrieval or reasoningInstrumenting models and pipelines for observability and performance monitoringWho You Are:Can communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and other engineersEnjoy balancing technical depth with practical problem-solving, knowing when to prioritize performance, scalability, or accuracyAre committed to writing clean, maintainable code and mentoring others through code reviews, documentation, and collaborationEnjoy collaborating closely with a supportive team to tackle complex technical challenges from start to finishUnderstand the importance of quality standards, processes, compliance and security as it relates to the healthcare industry and have general knowledge of standards such as HIPAA or PCIWhat You’ll Do:Design, develop, and maintain the ML models and data integrations that power our AI-driven products and internal toolsConnect large language models to real data by building and maintaining the tools and integrations that let AI systems query and reason over Zotec’s data accurately and safelyOwn the ML lifecycle from problem framing and data preparation through model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoringArchitect for AWS, designing scalable, cost-aware ML infrastructure using services like SageMaker, Bedrock, and LambdaBring structure to data by applying ontology, taxonomy, or knowledge-graph thinking where it improves retrieval, reasoning, or data quality for AI systemsOther Ways You Can Contribute:Help us continue to expand our usage of LLM application patterns with your experience in retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworksUtilize your experience with knowledge graphs and semantic data modeling to help us further improve data retrieval and reasoningFollow the appropriate development methodologies including Scrum and KanbanHow We Focus on Your Wellbeing:Paid time off (PTO) to balance a fulfilling work and personal lifeHealth, dental and vision insuranceCompany paid life insurance, AD&D, and disabilityMoney for your 401kVolunteerism support and charitable gift matching through the Zotec Effect programTailored learning and professional development opportunities to help you grow your career in ways that matter to you
