Senior Machinist

About the Opportunity:We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled machinist who enjoys working in a fast-paced job shop environment where no two days are the same. You will set up and operate large and medium-sized multi-axis CNC mills and lathes, producing prototype, one-off, and low-volume precision components for industries including aerospace, defense, energy, heavy equipment, naval vessels, and tooling. Our team is collaborative, innovative, and committed to delivering exceptional quality to our customers.Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and mill-turn equipment.Machine prototype, one-off, and low-volume production components to precise specifications.Work with a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.Verify dimensional accuracy and maintain tight tolerances.Troubleshoot machining processes and make program or setup adjustments as needed.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime.Maintain a safe and organized work environment.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience in a job shop, prototype, R&D, or similar manufacturing environment.Strong setup and operation experience on multi-axis CNC mills and/or lathes.Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings.Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Proficient in the use of precision measuring and inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a team environment.Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Why Join Us?We are a team of highly skilled, journeyman-level machinists who take pride in producing challenging, high-precision work.
