Senior Manager – Process and GovernanceThe Senior Manager of Process and Governance owns strategic program/project management, quality, and security for the organization. The role demands strong people management, stakeholder engagement ranging from C-level executives to peer engineering managers, program/project leadership, and quality and security improvements grounded in data-driven, modern process design and polished communication. This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for strengthening product competitiveness and driving operational excellence across the company. The person in this role will lead and refine our project management practices, champion ongoing quality improvement efforts, and meaningfully strengthen our security posture. We're looking for someone who blends strategic vision with hands-on execution and strong leadership to build and empower high-performing teams — delivering key initiatives successfully while protecting our data and assets.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management LeadershipBuild, roll out, and refine a scalable project management framework and methodology (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid) across departments, grounded in current global best practices, to ensure consistencyOversee a portfolio of strategic programs/projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery that meets scope and quality expectationsCoach and develop program/project managers and project leads, cultivating accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvementPut in place strong project tracking, reporting, and risk management processes that give stakeholders and senior leadership clear visibilityEnable cross-functional collaboration to clear obstacles and keep project execution on trackQuality Assurance & Operational ExcellenceBuild and continuously refine QA processes for software development, system integration, and cloud platform change operations, based on current global best practices, to enable agile, efficient product evolutionChampion a culture of continuous quality improvement across operations, products, and services, working closely with engineering teamsPinpoint opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and waste reduction using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworksBuild and implement quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting tools to track performance and flag areas needing attentionLead root cause analysis on quality issues and drive effective corrective and preventive actionsPromote adoption of best practices and standardization to improve overall efficiency and quality of products/servicesSecurity Enhancements & Risk ManagementPartner with CISO, IT, Legal, and other departments to build, roll out, and enforce comprehensive security policies, procedures, and best practicesLead regulatory and/or industry compliance efforts such as ISO27017 and PCI DSSOversee identification, assessment, and mitigation of security risks across systems, data, and operationsKeep current on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to proactively strengthen our security postureLead or support security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testingDesign and deliver security awareness training for employeesBuild and maintain incident response plans, leading efforts during security incidentsLeadership & Team DevelopmentRecruit, train, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of project managers, quality specialists, and/or security analystsFoster a collaborative, innovative, results-driven team cultureConduct regular performance reviews, deliver constructive feedback, and support professional growthCommunicate effectively across all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to executive leadershipMandatory QualificationsExperience in project management, product management, product development, and/or DevOps for cloud products — particularly private and public IaaS, PaaS, data analytics, ITIL, or related technical areasBachelor's degree (Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred)Master's degree (MBA or related) preferred10+ years of progressive experience in project management, operations, process optimization, and quality assurance5+ years in a leadership/managerial role with direct reportsProven success managing complex projects and programs from start to finishTrack record of implementing and improving quality management systems and processesSolid understanding and hands-on experience with cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practicesConversational Japanese abilityBig consulting firm experience is a plusCertificationsPMP – PreferredAgile certifications (CSM, CSPO, SAFe, etc.) – PreferredLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt – PreferredITIL CertificationsSecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, etc.) – PreferredSkills & CompetenciesOutstanding leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilitiesStrong strategic thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communicationProficiency with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc.)Data-driven decision-making with strong analytical abilitySkilled at influencing, reporting to, and negotiating with stakeholders at all levels, from CxOs to engineering managersProactive, results-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environmentUnderstanding of financial principles related to project budgeting and cost controlFamiliarity with risk management methodologies
