What You'll Do

Lead the Compliance Governance & Advisory function to establish and maintain effective compliance governance frameworks, provide regulatory and compliance advisory to the business, and oversee the implementation of applicable regulatory requirements across the organisation.The role supports the Head of Department in strengthening the organisation's compliance framework, providing independent regulatory interpretation and challenge, promoting consistent application of regulatory requirements, and ensuring material compliance risks and issues are appropriately governed, reported and escalated.Compliance Governance & FrameworkLead the development, implementation and continuous enhancement of the organisation's Compliance Framework and related governance standards, policies and procedures.Establish appropriate compliance governance principles, roles, responsibilities, escalation protocols and oversight mechanisms across the organisation.Oversee the compliance policy and framework lifecycle, including development, review, stakeholder consultation, approval, implementation and periodic assessment.Lead and oversee compliance governance frameworks and assigned governance areas, including Delegated Authority Limit Framework (DAL), Related Party Transactions (RPT), conflict-of-interest governance and other compliance governance requirements.Provide governance and compliance advisory support to business and support units on governance, and compliance-related matters including governance-related regulatory obligations, internal policies, and control expectations.Support stakeholders in interpreting and implementing governance-related regulatory requirements, internal governance standards, and internal control expectations.Collaborate with business and support units to address governance concerns and mitigate potential compliance and operational risks.Review and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls implemented by business and support units to manage governance and compliance risks.Provide independent challenge and recommendations to strengthen governance controls, accountability, and decision-making processes.Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs on regulatory developments, regulatory communications and applicable regulatory requirements to ensure consistent interpretation and implementation across the organisation.Escalate material, complex or potentially significant regulatory and compliance matters to the Head of Compliance and relevant governance forums in a timely manner.Regulatory & Compliance AdvisoryProvide independent and practical regulatory and compliance advice to Senior Management, business and support functions on applicable regulatory requirements and compliance matters.Lead the interpretation and assessment of complex or material regulatory requirements and provide guidance on their application to TNGD's products, services, processes and business activities.Provide regulatory advice and challenge for new products, business initiatives, partnerships, outsourcing arrangements and material changes.Advise stakeholders on appropriate controls and remediation measures to address identified compliance risks or regulatory gaps.Monitor material regulatory implementation commitments, identified gaps and remediation actions and escalate significant delays or concerns.Policies, Standards & Governance AdvisoryLead the development and review of compliance-related policies, frameworks, standards and procedures.Provide governance advisory on matters including delegated authority, conflicts of interest, related-party governance and other assigned compliance governance areas.Ensure appropriate governance requirements, accountability and escalation mechanisms are incorporated into relevant policies and frameworks.Provide independent challenge where governance arrangements may result in regulatory, compliance or conduct risk.Promote standardization and continuous improvement of governance practices across the organization.Ensure governance documents remain aligned with organizational objectives, internal governance standards, and applicable regulatory expectations.Monitoring and ReportingMonitor key compliance governance requirements, regulatory implementation commitments, governance exceptions and remediation actions across assigned areas.Provide oversight and challenge on identified compliance and governance gaps and monitor agreed corrective actions to closure.Support the preparation of compliance reports for senior management and the Board, highlighting key compliance metrics, issues, and action plans.Support in assessment and reporting of compliance risk, including the results of compliance risk assessment undertaken during the review period, incidents of non- compliance and deficiencies, assessment of impact (both financial and non- financial), recommendation of corrective measures to address non-compliance incidents identified.Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for the compliance program and identifying areas for improvement.Stakeholder Management & Compliance CultureBuild and maintain effective working relationships with business, operational, legal, risk, audit, and senior management stakeholders.Promote strong governance awareness, accountability, ethical conduct, and compliance culture across the organization.Provide guidance and training to employees on governance and compliance-related matters including implementation of internal controls and governance practices.Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance technical competency and governance capabilities where applicable.Others Support the execution of the annual Compliance Plan and governance initiatives.Stay abreast of emerging governance trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices relevant to fintech and digital financial services.Support governance committee reporting and governance-related initiatives where required.Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely closure of audit findings and governance action items.Undertake any other assignments as requested by the immediate supervisor, Head of Compliance, or Management.Role Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Banking, Finance, Business, Risk Management, Governance, or related disciplines.Minimum 8–10 years' relevant experience in Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, Governance, Risk Management or related functions within financial services, fintech, banking, payments or other regulated institutions.Strong knowledge and practical experience in regulatory interpretation, compliance advisory, compliance governance frameworks, regulatory implementation and compliance risk management.Experience advising on new products, business initiatives and complex regulatory matters within a regulated financial services environment.Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration within a regulated environment is highly preferred.Knowledge & CompetenciesStrong understanding of governance frameworks, internal controls, and compliance risk management practices.Good understanding of applicable regulatory and governance expectations within the financial services industry.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment capabilities.Excellent communication, report writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to provide independent challenge and exercise sound judgment on governance and control
