The role is hands-on and execution-focused, acting as the key finance partner to Factory Operations while ensuring alignment with GMG’s Group finance policies, controls, and standards. The role covers core operational finance pillars, with a strong emphasis on compliance, efficiency, and cost discipline within a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Control & ComplianceEnsure strict adherence to GMG Group finance policies, internal controls, and governance frameworks at the factory levelMaintain strong financial discipline across all manufacturing transactions, including inventory, procurement, and production costingLead and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of audit findings and zero compliance gapsSafeguard company assets through effective control mechanisms and regular reconciliations2. Factory Financial Operations & ReportingOversee end-to-end factory finance operations, including month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliationsEnsure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting aligned with Group timelines and standardsMonitor key financial metrics (cost per unit, yield, wastage, variances) and highlight risks and opportunitiesDrive transparency and accuracy in inventory accounting and valuation3. Cost Management & EfficiencyPartner with factory operations to drive cost optimization initiatives across materials, labor, and overheadsAnalyze production costs, variances, and inefficiencies, providing actionable insights to improve marginsTrack and control factory budgets, ensuring alignment with approved financial plansLead initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste within the manufacturing process4. Business Partnering with Factory OperationsJob Requirement:Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Master’s degree is an advantage.8–12 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with significant exposure to manufacturing or factory environments.Proven experience managing factory-level finance operations.Experience working in large, structured organizations with strong governance frameworks.Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
