Company OverviewSapphire is a joint venture based in the Special Integrated Logistics Zone (SILZ) in Riyadh, focused on manufacturing advanced industrial robots and supporting the next generation of automation and smart manufacturing in the Kingdom.Role SummaryThe Information Technology (IT) Senior Manager will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining the full spectrum of IT infrastructure, services, and systems at Sapphire. This includes establishing core IT functions during the company’s transition from construction to operations, managing vendors and licenses, leading ERP and system deployment, ensuring site connectivity, and supporting business productivity through efficient IT operations. The role demands a strategic leader with technical acumen and project management capability to support the needs of a high-tech manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesIT Infrastructure & OperationsPlan, order, and install IT hardware and software including laptops, accessories, projectors, and conferencing tools.Manage Microsoft Office license deployment and renewal across all company employees.Oversee network infrastructure, internet service provisioning, and connectivity for the site in coordination with SILZ and telecom providers.Support and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, firewalls, and IT security controls systems.ERP & Systems IntegrationLead the end-to-end deployment of the company’s ERP system, ensuring integration across finance, HR, procurement, production, and maintenance.Manage post-go-live support, enhancements, and user adoption initiatives.Oversee implementation and maintenance of systems and ensure seamless integration with ERP and facility management tools.Drive automation and optimization of business processes through IT systems.Strategic & Operational ManagementParticipate in and lead the definition and implementation of IT strategy, with the guidance and support of the IT Department Director, ensuring alignment with Sapphire’s operational and business objectives. Work closely with the Facility Manager to ensure all IT infrastructure requirements are met for office and factory environments. Collaborate with the production team to identify, procure, and maintain IT and network systems related to production lines and automation technologies.Governance, Security & ComplianceEstablish IT policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure security, availability, and business continuity.Deploy and maintain IT security controls in alignment with the applicable Essential Cybersecurity Controls (ECC) to protect company assets and data.Monitor IT performance through KPIs, issue reports, and drive continuous improvements.Vendor & Budget ManagementIdentify, engage, and manage IT vendors, service providers, and system integrators.Participate in defining IT requirements, manage and maintain IT assets, and contribute to the development and management of annual IT budgets covering hardware, software, services, and licensing.Manage all third-party IT contracts and ensure service delivery per SLAs.Training & SupportDeliver or coordinate user training on systems and platforms to ensure proper usage and productivity.Serve as the escalation point for critical IT issues and ensure resolution within defined timelines.Web & Digital PlatformsOversee the design, development, and maintenance of the company’s website.Ensure alignment of digital tools with branding, stakeholder engagement, and information management strategies.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. Proven experience deploying ERP systems and integrating cross-functional business processes.Experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and cybersecurity systems.Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, or facilities management sectors is highly desirable.Core CompetenciesStrong project management and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.Hands-on expertise in ERP implementation, IT infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives.Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive alignment between technical and business functions.High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
