Senior Manager, Investment Applications & Technology

We are supporting an Abu Dhabi-based investment organisation in the appointment of an experienced Investment Technology & Applications Senior Manager. UAEN with a family book is a mandatory requirement for this position, and Expats will not be considered on this occasion.This is an exciting opportunity for a technology professional who understands the investment lifecycle and has hands-on experience delivering, enhancing and supporting applications and business solutions used by investment teams.Reporting to the CTO, and sitting at the intersection of Investment and Technology, you will work closely with portfolio management, investment operations, risk, finance and other business functions to ensure technology platforms effectively support investment decision-making and operational requirements.What you will be responsible forLead the delivery, enhancement and ongoing evolution of investment and enterprise applications.Partner with investment teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.Support applications across areas such as portfolio management, investment operations, risk, performance, reporting and investment accounting.Lead application & business solution implementations, upgrades, integrations and process improvements across the investment technology environment.Manage relationships with technology vendors, system integrators and internal technology teams.Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation, integration and appropriate AI-enabled solutions.Ensure applications & solutions remain scalable, secure, well-governed and aligned with the organisation's technology strategy.What we are looking forApproximately 10–15+ years of technology / applications / business solutions experience, ideally within an investment organisation, asset manager, sovereign investor, pension fund or institutional financial-services environment.Hands-on experience with investment applications / investment business solutions is essential – you should have personally implemented, supported, enhanced or owned technology used by investment professionals.Strong understanding of the investment lifecycle and the interaction between front, middle and/or back-office functions.Experience translating requirements from portfolio managers, investment operations, risk, performance, finance or similar teams into technology solutions.Exposure to application integration, vendor management, workflow/process design and enterprise technology environments.Experience with ERP, finance applications, automation, data or AI-enabled solutions would be advantageous.Strong stakeholder-management skills with the credibility to work with senior investment and technology leaders.Please note: This is not a general Digital Transformation, PMO, Infrastructure or IT Service Delivery position. Relevant candidates should have direct, hands-on exposure to applications/business solutions supporting investment management or investment operations
