Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the CompanyThe Senior Manager, Medical Operations provides strategic and day-to-day operational leadership for assigned medical services. Working in partnership with physician, nursing and administrative leaders, the role translates clinical strategy into executable operating plans that improve patient access, physician productivity, service-line growth, financial performance and patient experience. The role leads medical initiatives, capacity and clinic scheduling optimization, performance reporting, profitability improvement and targeted growth campaigns, while ensuring safe, compliant and patient-centered operations.About the RoleThe Senior Manager, Medical Operations provides strategic and day-to-day operational leadership for assigned medical services.ResponsibilitiesPartner with physician leaders to translate medical and service-line priorities into annual operating plans, measurable initiatives and clear delivery accountabilities.Lead the planning, governance and delivery of cross-functional medical initiatives, ensuring milestones, risks, dependencies and benefits are actively managed.Optimize physician, clinic and procedural scheduling to improve access, template utilization, session productivity, continuity of care and use of clinical capacity.Monitor physician volumes, referrals, conversion, cancellations, no-shows, waiting times and access indicators; coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.Develop and maintain service-line business plans, demand and capacity forecasts, growth scenarios and operational readiness plans for new or expanded medical services.Drive financial performance through revenue, cost, productivity and contribution-margin analysis, identifying opportunities to improve profitability without compromising quality or patient care.Work with Finance, Revenue Cycle and clinical leaders to address performance gaps, coding and documentation opportunities, resource utilization and leakage across the patient pathway.Partner with Marketing and Communications to design compliant, evidence-based campaigns that strengthen physician visibility, service awareness, referral growth and patient volumes.Build productive relationships with internal and external referral sources and coordinate physician engagement, outreach, educational events and service-promotion activities.Prepare operational dashboards and executive reports covering access, activity, productivity, quality, patient experience, workforce and financial performance.Lead continuous-improvement initiatives across referral, appointment, clinic, diagnostic, procedure, admission and discharge workflows using data and structured problem solving.Support physician onboarding, practice activation and ramp-up by coordinating licensure, privileges, clinic templates, support resources, equipment, communications and go-live readiness.Coordinate workforce and resource planning for assigned medical operations, including clinic support, facilities, technology and equipment needs.Promote collaboration across Medical Affairs, Nursing, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Revenue Cycle and support functions to deliver integrated, patient-centered services.Ensure initiatives and operating practices comply with SSMC policies, clinical governance requirements, regulatory standards, confidentiality and ethical marketing principles.Perform other duties aligned with the scope and accountability of Medical Operations as assigned by the line manager.QualificationsRequired: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Sciences or a related field.Desired: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health or a related field.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of hospital and physician practice operations, patient access, referral pathways and clinical support workflows.Commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, business cases, profitability and performance analysis.Advanced analytical capability and proficiency in dashboards, spreadsheets and presentation tools.Strong stakeholder management, influencing, communication and change leadership skills.Required: Proficiency in English.Preferred SkillsDesired: Proficiency in Arabic.Desired: Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, healthcare quality, finance or operations certification.Desired: Experience in a complex tertiary or quaternary hospital and in launching or growing medical services.Equal Opportunity StatementSSMC is committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
