Senior Manager, Data & AnalyticsSalary: $170,000 to $200,000 baseWe’re partnering with a well-established, data rich consumer business looking for a Senior Manager, Data & Analytics to lead a team across Data Engineering, Analytics, and BI, while owning the broader Data & Analytics roadmap for the business unit.This is a player coach role, approximately two thirds leadership and one third hands on, combining team development, senior stakeholder partnership, strategic prioritization, and technical oversight. We’re looking for an analytics first leader with strong commercial acumen and technical credibility who can ensure the team is focused on the highest impact business problems and translate data into better decisions across the organization.What You’ll Be DoingLead, coach, and develop a small multidisciplinary team across Analytics, BI, Data Engineering, reporting, and data qualityAct as the primary Data & Analytics partner to senior leadership across commercial, customer, financial, and operational prioritiesOwn the team's roadmap, determining where Data & Analytics can have the greatest business impact and prioritizing accordinglyTranslate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical problems, insights, and actionable recommendationsImprove reporting, KPI frameworks, data quality, and recurring analytical processes across the organizationPartner with centralized Data Engineering teams to build scalable solutions using shared platforms, tools, and standardsSupport the adoption of emerging capabilities across predictive analytics, MLOps, customer data platforms, and AI enabled analyticsImprove data fluency across the business, helping senior leaders challenge assumptions and make better evidence based decisionsRemain hands on where appropriate, using your technical experience to interrogate data, challenge approaches, and support the teamWhat We’re Looking For8+ years of experience across Data Analytics, BI, Data Science, or a related discipline, with flexibility for candidates with 6 to 7 years of particularly relevant experienceProven people leadership experience, ideally managing a team spanning multiple Data disciplinesExperience owning a broad Data & Analytics remit, rather than a narrowly focused reporting or analytics functionStrong commercial acumen and experience partnering directly with senior business leadersThe ability to manage demanding stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and make clear prioritization decisions when capacity is limitedStrong analytical problem solving skills, particularly taking ambiguous business problems from initial question through to recommendation and actionAdvanced SQL and experience with modern BI platforms such as Looker, Omni, or similarStrong understanding of data modeling, transformation, reporting, and data quality, with enough technical depth to work effectively alongside Data EngineeringExperience using emerging AI tools within Analytics and an understanding of how to validate their outputs appropriatelyStrong communication, project management, and stakeholder management skillsNice to HaveExperience within retail, ecommerce, CPG, subscription, or another data rich consumer business would be particularly valuable.Exposure to Snowflake, dbt, and Python would also be beneficial, as would experience leading Data & Analytics for a business unit within a larger enterprise data organization.
