Position Overview Reporting to the Senior Director of Distribution Operations, the Senior Manager, Outbound Operations is accountable for the overall business performance of outbound operations. This leader owns the strategy, execution, and results of the end-to-end outbound fulfillment process, providing leadership across systematic and physical fulfillment operations. The Senior Manager serves as the link between day-to-day operational execution and enterprise strategy by leading operational improvements, developing business cases, implementing transformational initiatives, and building organizational capability that supports Kendra Scott's long-term growth.
Responsibilities
· Direct the overall business performance of outbound operations by establishing department priorities, performance expectations, and accountability for safety, service, quality, productivity, and customer compliance.· Oversee the end-to-end outbound fulfillment process, including systematic order execution, warehouse operations, labor planning, inventory integrity, shipping, and customer fulfillment while maintaining a safe, compliant, and customer-focused operation.· Develop and execute labor, workload, and capacity strategies by forecasting business demand and optimizing the utilization of people, equipment, and operational capacity to support business growth and peak readiness.· Drive strategic operational improvement initiatives by identifying business opportunities, developing business cases and ROI analyses, presenting recommendations to senior leadership, executing approved solutions, and delivering measurable operational and financial results.· Manage department financial performance through operating budgets, labor expense, productivity, operational efficiency, and customer compliance while driving strategies that reduce chargebacks and protect company profitability.· Build and develop a high-performing leadership team through coaching, succession planning, performance management, and fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.· Evaluate department performance through key performance indicators, communicating business results, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership, and implementing corrective actions that sustain operational excellence and achievement of annual business objectives.· Shape the outbound operational roadmap by translating enterprise strategy into prioritized initiatives that improve service, productivity, scalability, organizational capability, and financial performance while ensuring successful implementation across the organization.· Provide executive-level visibility into outbound operations by communicating business performance, emerging risks, strategic opportunities, and actionable recommendations that support informed decision-making and long-term business objectives. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:· Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-functional distribution operations while balancing operational execution, financial performance, and customer service.· Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen with the ability to evaluate operational performance, develop business cases and ROI analyses, and make sound operational and investment decisions.· Proven ability to establish strategic priorities, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and translate enterprise objectives into executable operational plans that deliver measurable business results.· Experience leading continuous improvement, automation, and organizational transformation initiatives from concept through implementation in a dynamic operational environment.· Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build high-performing teams, develop future leaders, foster accountability, and drive employee engagement.· Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations, fulfillment systems, labor planning, inventory management, and supply chain best practices.· Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
Required:· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.· Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, or supply chain operations, including experience leading large, multi-shift teams.· Demonstrated success owning operational performance through key performance indicators, financial management, labor forecasting, workforce planning, continuous improvement, and strategic operational initiatives, including the development of business cases and ROI analyses.· Proven experience leading cross-functional process improvement, operational transformation, system implementation, automation, or other strategic business initiatives that deliver measurable results.· Strong proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, Microsoft Excel, and operational reporting tools, with the ability to leverage data to support operational and strategic decision-making.· Exceptional communication, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decisions across all levels of the organization. Preferred:· Experience supporting omnichannel retail, wholesale, and eCommerce fulfillment operations.· Experience with automation technologies, material handling systems, or warehouse optimization projects.· Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certification.· Experience supporting new facility startups, network expansions, or large-scale distribution transformation initiatives.· Shared appreciation for Kendra Scott's values of Family, Fashion, and Philanthropy.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
