About the Role

Vidya Wires Ltd. is looking for an experienced and result-oriented professional to drive business growth and expand our customer base in the electrical and transformer industry.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in B2B business development, technical sales, customer relationship management, and commercial negotiations, preferably with exposure to CTC, power transformers, transformer components, copper/aluminium conductors, or related electrical products.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute business-development strategies for Continuously Transposed Conductor (CTC).Identify new customers, markets, applications, and business opportunities.Develop relationships with power transformer manufacturers, transformer OEMs, utilities, EPC companies, and electrical equipment manufacturers.Generate enquiries, prepare proposals, follow up on opportunities, and convert enquiries into orders.Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve assigned revenue and volume targets.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.Understand customer technical requirements, specifications, procurement processes, and qualification procedures.Coordinate technical discussions related to CTC design, dimensions, transposition, insulation, conductor configuration, and transformer applications.Work closely with Engineering, R&D, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to meet customer requirements.Coordinate product samples, trials, testing, inspections, customer audits, and approval processes.Lead commercial discussions covering pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual requirements.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and emerging customer requirements.Identify upcoming transformer projects and new business opportunities.Prepare sales forecasts and provide regular business-development reports to management.Ensure achievement of assigned sales, revenue, volume, and margin targets.Support customer retention, repeat business, and long-term strategic partnerships.Willingness to travel extensively for customer meetings and business development.Candidate Profile :Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline.MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management will be an advantage.5–15 years of relevant experience in business development, technical sales, or B2B sales.Experience in the CTC, transformer, electrical conductor, transformer component, or electrical equipment industry will be highly preferred.Strong understanding of transformer manufacturing and CTC applications.Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.Strong technical-commercial aptitude and business acumen.Ability to understand technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.Strong market-development and customer-acquisition capabilities.Key Performance Indicators :New customer acquisitionCTC sales revenue and volumeNew business generationSales pipeline and conversionCustomer approvals and qualificationsCustomer retention and repeat businessGross margin/contributionAchievement of sales targetsMarket and geographical expansionReceivables/collection performance
