The Director of Strategic Sourcing for Hotels and Food Business is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing upstream sourcing and category strategies across domestic and international markets. The role consolidates demand, spend and supply-market intelligence to create group-wide value through category strategy, standardization, preferred supplier and corporate agreement development, supplier innovation, risk management and total cost optimization. Working closely with Project Procurement, Technical Services, Project Development, Engineering, Operations, Finance and Legal, the role establishes sourcing frameworks and commercial strategies.Main Responsibilities:• Strategic Sourcing & Category Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive category and sourcing strategies aligned with business growth, project pipelines, cost optimization, risk management, quality, sustainability and supplier diversity.• Domestic and International Sourcing: Lead strategic sourcing of materials, FF&E, equipment and selected services across domestic and international markets, considering local regulations, supply-market dynamics, logistics, duties, lead time and country-specific risks.• Supplier Relationship & Development: Build strategic relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers; develop supplier road maps, performance improvement plans and long-term partnerships that deliver commercial, technical and service value.• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Project Procurement, Technical Services, Project Development, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal and other business stakeholders to translate business requirements into sourcing strategies and standardized commercial frameworks.• Total Value Optimization: Drive measurable value beyond purchase-price savings through negotiation, cost avoidance, total cost of ownership, payment terms, specification optimization, logistics efficiency, lead-time improvement, supply continuity and supplier innovation.• Supply Market Intelligence: Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, commodity and industry trend reviews, supplier landscape assessment and should-cost/TCO analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and support fact-based business decisions.• Demand Consolidation & Volume Leverage: Consolidate current and future demand across projects, brands, countries and business units to maximize economies of scale, bargaining power and opportunities for regional or global agreements.• Standardization & Corporate Agreements: Work with technical and operational stakeholders to identify product and specification standardization opportunities and establish corporate contracts that balance brand requirements, quality, lifecycle cost and commercial leverage.• Corporate Tender Leadership: Lead competitive sourcing and bidding for corporate, regional and strategic agreements, ensuring transparent evaluation and the best overall business outcome.• Spend & Sourcing Analytics: Lead spend consolidation, demand forecasting, supplier and price benchmarking, sourcing pipeline analysis, RFQ/RFP processes and business-case development to identify and prioritize strategic sourcing opportunities.• Commercial & Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, rebates, payment terms, warranties, service levels, lead times, logistics, exclusivity and other commercial terms to maximize profitability and long-term value.• Contract Governance: Coordinate contract development with Legal and relevant stakeholders, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.• Contract Implementation & Compliance: Establish implementation plans, communicate negotiated agreements, monitor adoption and contract compliance, and use purchasing data to identify leakage and further value opportunities.• Supplier Performance & Risk Management: Establish strategic supplier KPIs and review performance relating to quality, cost, delivery, service, contractual obligations, capacity, financial resilience and supply-chain risk.• Preferred Supplier & Approved Brand Strategy: Develop and maintain preferred supplier panels, approved/preferred brand frameworks and category road maps in collaboration with technical, operational and project stakeholders.• Supplier Innovation & Value Engineering: Engage suppliers early to identify alternative products, technologies, specification improvements, value-engineering opportunities and sustainable solutions without compromising required standards.• Executive Stakeholder Alignment: Develop sourcing recommendations and present strategies, business cases, risks, savings and value-creation results to senior leadership; ensure alignment across business groups and functions.Qualifications:• Strong commercial and technical acumen with the ability to translate business requirements into sourcing strategies.• Comprehensive understanding of operational processes, supply-chain dynamics, lifecycle cost and key quality/cost drivers.• Strong knowledge of FF&E, equipment and related project categories; knowledge of construction materials and engineering is an advantage.• Ability to engage technical and operational stakeholders early to challenge specifications, identify standardization and value-engineering opportunities, and protect required quality standards.• Strong stakeholder management, teamwork, influencing and cross-functional coordination skills.• Advanced negotiation, problem-solving, financial analysis, spend analytics and business-case development skills.• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive presentation, negotiation and influencing.• Energetic and self-motivated, able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-business and multi-country environment.• Able to manage multiple strategic initiatives, prioritize opportunities and proactively solve complex problems.• Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier development, category management and contract management in complex multi-business and/or multi-country environments.• High commitment, accountability and commercial integrity.• Strong drive for results with proven capability to convert strategy into measurable execution and business value.• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with procurement, spend analytics or project data systems is an advantage.
