Apply & track with Apply EdgeEstablished in 2006, Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) is a global clean energy leader, transforming how the world produces and consumes energy through bold innovation and commercial excellence.Masdar is a clean energy investor, developer and operator, advancing renewable energy projects across key markets and technologies, with a global project portfolio capacity to date of over 65 gigawatts (GW).Jointly owned by TAQA, ADNOC and Mubadala, Masdar is driving the scale-up of renewables worldwide, targeting a portfolio capacity of 100GW by 2030.Job DescriptionTo manage procurement and logistics activities related to Solar Photovoltaic (PV)/Wind/BESS modules, inverters, trackers, and associated solar equipment across Masdar’s Clean Energy projects, ensuring efficient, timely, and compliant execution of sourcing strategies, supplier management, and material delivery aligned with project schedules, technical requirements, and Masdar’s ESG and responsible sourcing goals.The role executes tendering, negotiations, contracting, expediting, and quality oversight for wind packages, ensuring collaboration with stakeholders and alignment with Masdar’s procurement policies, governance frameworks, and local content objectives to maximize value-for-money, schedule certainty, risk mitigation and long-term performance of solar energy assets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end execution of procurement processes for solar packages, from RFP/RFQ preparation, bid clarifications, evaluations, negotiations, contract drafting, and purchase order administrationManage supply, O&M, and long-term service agreements, ensuring commercial and contractual terms support project schedules and mitigate risksOversee logistics arrangements, optimizing transportation routes, warehousing, and shipments for efficiency and cost-effectivenessCoordinate third-party quality services to ensure adherence to specifications and resolution of performance claimsExecute factory and OEM qualification programs for PV/Wind/BESS modules, inverters, and trackers, including audits and updates reflecting technology advancements and localization needsMonitor supplier performance during manufacturing and delivery, identify non-conformances, and implement corrective actionsMaintain supplier qualification documentation and performance records for audit readinessConduct market intelligence on pricing, availability, technology trends, and supply chain dynamicsPrepare procurement schedules and cost forecasts in coordination with project and technical teams to meet project milestonesEnsure procurement activities adhere to Masdar’s policies, Delegation of Authority, governance requirements, and ESG standardsMaintain comprehensive documentation of contracts, POs, and supplier records for audit and governance complianceCoordinate with engineering, project delivery, legal, finance, and logistics teams to align procurement execution with technical and commercial requirementsProvide regular updates to Head Supply Chain and stakeholders on procurement status, risks, and improvement opportunitiesEngage with key suppliers, personally leading critical negotiations when requiredQualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or finance or related fieldMaster’s degree is preferred
Preferred Experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, including at least 3 years in renewable energy projects with a focus on utility-scale solar PV/Wind/BESS, including modules, inverters, trackers, and BoS componentsProven track record managing end-to-end sourcing, negotiation, and execution of contracts for equipment (e.g., PV/Wind/BESS modules, inverters, trackers)Experience leading RFQ/RFP processes, preparing and negotiating Supply and O&M Agreements, and coordinating with legal, technical, and project teams during bid and execution phasesDemonstrated experience in OEM and supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and quality assurance, including factory audits and inspectionsJob-Specific Skills:In-depth knowledge of the solar energy industry, including technologies, suppliers, and market dynamics Knowledge of procurement processes, templates, tools, and systems used in large-scale solar projectsStrong communication and interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent research and analytical skills for supplier evaluation, benchmarking, and risk assessmentAbility to prioritize tasks, manage multiple procurement packages, and work with diverse cross-functional teamsStrong understanding of commercial risks, contract structures, and financial implications in renewable energy procurementTechnical knowledge of PV/Wind/BESS modules, inverters, trackers, and related performance indicatorsFamiliarity with IPP tenders, bid processes, and execution requirements for utility-scale solar projectsKnowledge of EPC works specific to Solar/Wind/BESS project deliveryAdditional InformationAs part of the application process, we will collect, store and process personal information about you.Masdar will use your personal information in accordance with our Candidate Privacy Notice, which provides details on the purposes for which your data is processed.
