قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجJob PurposeThe Senior Marine Projects Engineer will lead and oversee the planning, design, execution, and maintenance of marine and waterfront projects. The role is responsible for ensuring that projects involving public beaches, waterways, coastal facilities, and associated infrastructure are completed safely, efficiently, sustainably, and in accordance with approved budgets, timelines, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning and execution of marine, coastal, waterfront, and public beach development projects from initiation through completion.Review technical designs, drawings, specifications, method statements, and project proposals.Manage projects involving coastal protection works, marine structures, waterways, beach facilities, and waterfront infrastructure.Prepare project scopes, tender documents, technical specifications, cost estimates, and contract requirements.Monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.Supervise consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other service providers.Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, quality standards, and safety requirements.Ensure all projects comply with relevant municipal regulations, environmental requirements, sustainability standards, and marine engineering best practices.Monitor contractor performance against agreed service-level agreements, KPIs, milestones, and contractual obligations.Identify technical and operational risks and develop appropriate mitigation and corrective-action plans.Review and approve technical submissions, material specifications, progress reports, variation requests, and payment applications.Coordinate with internal departments, government authorities, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.Support the maintenance and asset-management planning of marine and waterfront facilities.Prepare project progress reports, technical presentations, feasibility studies, and recommendations for senior management.Promote sustainable engineering solutions that protect marine ecosystems and enhance the safety and accessibility of public beaches and waterways.Manage project handover, testing, commissioning, defect rectification, and project close-out activities.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related discipline.More than 10 years of relevant experience in marine, coastal, waterfront, or infrastructure projects.Proven experience managing large-scale marine construction or public infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of coastal engineering, marine structures, dredging, reclamation, shoreline protection, and waterfront development.Experience in contract preparation, tender evaluation, contractor management, budgeting, and project execution.Good understanding of health and safety, environmental regulations, sustainability requirements, and quality standards.Professional certifications such as PMP, Chartered Engineer, or an equivalent qualification are an advantage.Previous experience in a government, municipality, engineering consultancy, or major infrastructure organization is preferred.Key CompetenciesStrong project management and technical engineering capabilities.Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Strong contract administration and commercial awareness.Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.Proficiency in relevant engineering, project-management, and Microsoft Office applications.Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred.
