Senior Material Engineer

China State Construction Middle East (CSCEC ME) is recruiting a Senior Material Engineer to join our team for a Large Scale High Rise Tower project in Dubai.

About the Role

The Material Engineer will be responsible for preparing material submittals, coordinating material testing, ensuring only approved materials are used, and supporting quality control and documentation activities for the project.

Responsibilities

Prepare the material submittals and obtain the required approvals according to the applicable standards and project specifications.Serve as the focal point for the scheduling and control of construction materials at the job site.Coordinate work of consultants/ contractors for material testing.Maintain office files related to the project, material inspections and write daily diaries.Prepare daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract.Verify that only approved materials are incorporated in the work.Recognize potential conflicts, issues and problems on construction materials, and report to QAQC team with proposed solution.Collect, review and file Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to the materials used.Participate in the development of quality control reports and procedures.Prepare plan for the onsite testing of materials in coordination with the QAQC Department and Construction team.Check material delivered are as approved and properly stored.Prepare and update the project finishing schedule with all material information which as per approved material submittal and related RFI and letter.Review the Sub-contractor's material submittal as per BOQ and specification.QualificationsBachelors Degree in Architect/Civil Engineering7+ Years of relevant work experience
