Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer

About the role:A growing advanced technology company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer to support the design and development of highly engineered systems and prototype hardware. This position will work across multiple engineering disciplines, applying advanced simulation and first-principles analysis to solve complex design challenges.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical simulation and analysis activities supporting new product and technology development.Perform FEA, CFD, thermal, and coupled multiphysics analyses using industry-standard simulation tools.Build and refine analytical models to evaluate component and system performance.Establish modeling approaches, assumptions, material inputs, and appropriate boundary conditions.Correlate analytical results with experimental and test data.Identify design limitations, technical risks, and areas requiring further investigation.Support design reviews and provide analysis-based recommendations to engineering teams.Document technical work and communicate results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Qualifications

Advanced hands-on experience with ANSYS and/or COMSOL is required.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.8+ years of experience performing engineering analysis or simulation.Strong background in FEA, CFD, or both.Solid understanding of mechanics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and engineering fundamentals.Experience with nonlinear analysis, thermal-mechanical problems, compressible flow, or coupled physics.Experience supporting R&D, prototype development, or other complex engineering programs.Ability to independently solve technically challenging problems and communicate engineering conclusions clearly.
