NTI Nanofilm operates across Singapore, China, Germany, Japan, India and Vietnam, and has been listed on the Singapore Exchange since 2020.Job PurposeTo complete engineering drawings and 3D mechanical designs in a timely manner according to customer requirements, while leading and guiding designers to ensure the successful completion of project deliverables.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and prepare 3D mechanical designs and engineering drawings for projects using CAD and 3D design software, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, technical specifications, and company standards.Review and verify engineering drawings prepared by drafters to ensure accuracy, completeness, manufacturability, and adherence to design standards.Investigate and resolve mechanical design, assembly, and fabrication issues encountered during the manufacturing and product build process.Utilize design management systems and software to effectively manage design documentation, revisions, project data, and personal work assignments.Select appropriate standard components and materials for new designs and identify suitable replacement parts for obsolete or discontinued components.Provide technical support to engineering teams during machine installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional departments, including Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Sales, to support project proposals and ensure successful project execution.Lead and guide junior designers and drafters in the completion of design tasks, ensuring project deliverables are completed on time and to the required quality standards.RequirementsDiploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical system design, preferably in vacuum coating equipment, automation systems, or automotive engine design.Proficient in 3D CAD design software such as Pro/ENGINEER (Creo), CREO, and SolidWorks.Demonstrated ability to independently lead and execute machine design projects, from concept development through detailed design and implementation.Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, machine design, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation.Ability to analyze technical requirements, develop practical design solutions, and resolve engineering issues effectively.Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Comfortable working on-site (Monday – Friday)Working Location11 Tai Seng Drive Singapore 535226
