Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجKey ResponsibilitiesDesign acoustic enclosures, canopies, and generator packages based on customer specifications, project requirements, and required noise attenuation levels.Design and develop fuel storage tanks, base fuel tanks, day tanks, and associated fuel systems in accordance with applicable international standards, including UL 142, UL 58, UL 1746, ASME Section VIII Div. 1, API 650, API 620, EN 12285, NFPA 30, NFPA 37, and relevant ADNOC, ARAMCO, and other Oil & Gas project specifications, where applicable.Coordinate with electrical, engine, production, and testing teams.Support prototype development, testing, and design improvements.Select suitable steel material grades and thicknesses based on structural requirements, corrosion resistance, fabrication methods, and applicable industry standards.Review and interpret customer technical documents, including P&IDs, single-line diagrams (SLD), electrical schematics, GA drawings, layout drawings, equipment data sheets, and project specifications, to prepare technically compliant proposals.Prepare technical and commercial clarifications during the bidding stage and coordinate with customers to resolve technical queries.Perform engineering calculations related to enclosure sizing, ventilation, cooling airflow, structural integrity, fuel tank capacity, and equipment layout.Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and other engineering documents required for project execution.Act as Project Engineer after order award by monitoring engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, inspections, documentation, and project schedules until final delivery.Coordinate with customers, consultants, third-party inspection agencies, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.Prepare and maintain all project documentation, including technical submittals, material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, datasheets, calculations, FAT documents, O&M manuals, and as-built documentation.Ensure compliance with customer specifications, applicable codes and standards, and company quality procedures.Support factory inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and customer visits.Assist the sales team with technical support during tendering and proposal preparation. *Preferred Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.3–7 years of experience in generator packaging, acoustic enclosures, fuel tanks, or power generation systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor/SolidWorks (or equivalent 3D CAD software).Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Strong understanding of fabrication processes, sheet metal design, welding, and structural steel.Familiarity with international standards such as UL, ASME, API, NFPA, ISO, and Oil & Gas client specifications.Excellent communication, documentation, and project coordination skills.Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and customer requirements.
