Team members collaborate across disciplines to bring next-generation construction systems from concept to field deployment, with a strong emphasis on real-world impact and long-term sustainability.About The RoleYou'll own mechanical design for the machines at the core of Verustruct's robotic construction platform. Working closely with controls, materials, structural engineering, and manufacturing, you'll take complex hardware subsystems from concept through CAD, analysis, prototyping, testing, and deployment.This role is for someone who is excited to build real machines, iterate quickly, and help define the mechanical architecture of a new category of construction technology.What You'll DoDesign mechanical subsystems for wall-supported robotic construction equipment, including automated formwork, locomotion, material delivery, consolidation, and auxiliary construction toolsDrive component selection, tolerance analysis, structural analysis, DFM, and fabrication strategy for in-house and vendor-supported buildsLead build, bring-up, testing, and iteration of next-generation prototype systemsWork cross-functionally with controls, electrical, materials, and structural engineering to integrate hardware into a coordinated robotic construction platformDevelop design standards, documentation practices, and engineering workflows as the mechanical team growsMentor junior engineers and interns while helping set the technical bar for hardware developmentAdditional DetailsVerustruct is committed to building a high-performing team and compensating employees fairly as we scale from early technical validation into real-world deployment. For this role, the expected total annual compensation package range (salary + equity) is:Senior Mechanical Engineer: $135,000-$165,000Lead Mechanical Engineer: $160,000-$185,000Final compensation will depend on experience level, technical depth, leadership scope, and fit for the role.
