Senior Mechanical Engineer — Fit-Out

Location: Al Takhassusi, RiyadhRole OverviewResponsible for the design, coordination, and execution oversight of mechanical systems—including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection—for commercial, retail, hospitality, office, and residential fit-out projects, from tendering through to handover.Education & CertificationBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.Professional license or registration where required.Membership in a relevant engineering body, such as ASHRAE, ASME, or the Saudi Council of Engineers, is preferred.Experience6–10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, including at least 3–5 years in fit-out, interior construction, or MEP contracting.Proven experience in commercial, retail, hospitality, office, or residential fit-out projects.Experience coordinating with landlords, base-building consultants, and local authorities.Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of mechanical design standards, including ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and applicable Saudi codes.Experience in HVAC design, including duct sizing, air balancing, load calculations, chilled-water systems, and VRF systems.Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply and drainage.Experience with fire protection systems, including sprinklers, fire pumps, and standpipes.Familiarity with tenant HVAC connections to base-building systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP/Carrier, or similar mechanical design software.Knowledge of energy-efficiency and green-building requirements is preferred.Understanding of Saudi authority approval processes, including Civil Defense and relevant utilities.Project & Site ResponsibilitiesReview and validate shop drawings, technical submittals, and material submissions.Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and other MEP disciplines to resolve clashes.Conduct site inspections, quality checks, testing, and snagging for mechanical works.Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure procurement and installation quality.Prepare BOQs and technical specifications and support tendering and estimation.Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and HSE standards.Soft SkillsStrong coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight fit-out schedules.Strong problem-solving skills for on-site technical issues.Leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior engineers and mechanical site staff.
